I've been working with digital media for a few years now, using the gang at Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary as inspiration. They all have great personalities which I try to capture in my portraits.
Barbara has painted for many years and on moving to Burnham her passion for art has been reignited. Using old buildings and social history as her inspiration, she often references old photographs.

David is a self-taught artist although in his early years he did attend art classes to work in various media. He mainly consider himself a watercolourist but also works in oils, acrylic and pastels.
Elizabeth finds inspiration for watercolours along the Burnham foreshore where tides and the effect of light are ever changing. Indoors, she might concentrate on the intricate design of an antique tea cup.

Shona finds the wild landscapes and open spaces of the Blackwater Estuary captivating. The smaller landscapes of pebbles, shells and seaweed as well as larger views are fascinating subjects for painting.

I recently returned to painting after a twenty year break, starting out by copying the work of traditional painters. Now, after gaining in confidence, I’m improving my technique and creating original artworks.
Yvonne’s artwork, this year, concerns endangered and extinct animals. Using a variety of media, she draws attention to the beauty and individuality of these creatures who may all soon be lost from the Earth.
