Live Music

The Silver Darlings Sunday 23rd June 12.30pm
The Silver Darlings are an all-female, sea shanty crew based in Essex.

Our home town, Southend is steeped in the fishing and cockling industries and so we are naturally drawn to sea shanties, the sailors’ working songs, telling the stories of our culture and heritage.   We are passionately committed to ensuring that these songs remain in the public domain and are not lost at sea.

We bring our own brand of enthusiasm coupled with beautiful harmonies and actively encourage participation ensuring a Silver Darlings performance is one never to be missed!

The Craic Heads will be playing at 2pm

This lively local Irish and Celtic music band, have agreed to step in to give us some tunes to jig along to!  They regularly contribute to the Thursday Folk sessions at the Station Arms in Southminster.

Stuck in the Middle Saturday 29rd June 1pm
Music from 50’s to 90’s plus more.

Stuck in the Middle are a trio of entertainers, living locally, featuring Julian May (guitar and vocals), Jon Greaves (guitar and vocals) and Angela Gardner (percussion and vocals) who is the rose stuck between the two thorns.

All three have a long history in entertainment and have often crossed paths on stage, so it became inevitable that the three of them would eventually team up in 2014. With their humour, musicianship and strong vocal harmonies, it has proven to be a winning formula.

Greavesey Saturday 29th June 3pm Jon has made a name for himself as a Singer/Guitarist playing Rock and Pop in various bands or as a soloist.
